Can Vind AI be used for onshore and offshore wind projects?
Vind AI is designed for both onshore and offshore wind projects. In addition to providing precise assessments of annual energy production and evaluating the business case, Vind AI offers a comprehensive suite of analyses tailored to the unique requirements of each project type. For onshore projects, you can quickly evaluate the impact on neighbouring areas by simulating noise emissions, turbine shadow flicker, and viewshed analysis. For offshore projects, advanced functionality like export cable design and loss calculations, support for both bottom-fixed and floating foundations, and bathymetry analysis empowers you to design with confidence.
How do you handle data security?
We take data security seriously, and Vind AI is committed to deliver a platform that meets the needs of our customers and the industry. Data security includes access control, authentication and authorisation, how your data is secured against fraud and attacks, the physical security of hardware, and organisational policies and procedures. We want you to take full advantage of what web based software enables in terms of productivity and usability, which is why data security has top priority.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use scalable subprocessors, with redundant data centers that ensures high levels of data availability.

Penetration tests are performed regularly by recognised third parties.

In which locations can Vind AI be used?
Vind AI has no limitations on where you can model a wind park. The only factor that varies by location is the source of wind and geospatial datasets within the platform. Moreover, you can always upload your own datasets to enhance the analysis even further. The analysis suite functions consistently across all offshore seas and onshore locations worldwide.
Does Vind AI use benchmarked yield models?
Vind AI aims to provide the same accuracy on AEP numbers as other industry standard tools in the feasibility studies of offshore wind farms. We continuously perform in-house and external validations and benchmarking studies. After a benchmarking study is performed, we store the results as a future reference and make it available in our Help center for all users to read.
Can I upload my own data?
Absolutely! You can upload and download wind and geospatial data using standard formats, ensuring seamless compatibility with your tools of choice. No lock-ins, just the flexibility to manage and move your data wherever it's needed.
Can I use Vind AI together with my existing tools? WindPro, ArcGIS, QGIS, Vortex and more?
Yes! We have designed Vind AI to work seamlessly together with existing industry tools like WindPro, ArcGIS, QGIS, and Vortex. To support this, we provide full compatibility for uploading and downloading data in common industry-standard formats.
Can I customise project and resource access in the platform?
In Vind AI, you have full control over access permissions. You can specify whether a user has full access, editorial rights, or view-only access to any project, ensuring your data is always secure. Beyond project access, you can also manage permissions for organisational resources in the Library. This allows technical experts in your organisation to maintain complete control over specifications for turbines, cables, GIS data, and more, without accessing sensitive project data they don’t need.
Can I download my project?
All project data can be exported in standard formats, allowing you to effortlessly save a snapshot of your project or extract results for use in Excel, reports, or presentations.
