Vind AI and Norconsult have joined forces in a strategic partnership to drive better planning and design of wind projects by combining leading digital tools and expert advice.

Since its establishment in 2022, Vind AI has developed a digital platform to support the design and assessments of wind parks both onshore and offshore, allowing them to be developed more efficiently, smarter and with a sharper focus on environmental and social impacts. With Vind AI's platform, clients can quickly assess the production and profitability of a wind park anywhere in the world. Now, Norconsult's department Kjeller Vindteknikk and Vind AI have entered into a partnership agreement, with Norconsult becoming a consulting partner and contributing advanced wind data to the Vind AI platform.

Vind AI already offers wind data, but through collaboration with Kjeller Vindteknikk, which has over 25 years of experience with wind measurements and modelling, users gain access to even more granular and precise data. This makes it easier to assess the potential in areas where local variations in wind resources are crucial for further development.

For Norconsult, it is valuable to be close to companies like Vind AI, and the consulting company has good experience from similar collaborations in various market areas. An example is the collaboration with Infraspace, a company that has developed an AI tool that automates complex calculations of key indicators in road projects and drastically reduces analysis time.

Assignments in new markets

‍Wind power is an important contributor to the rapid expansion of renewable energy, and Norconsult has expertise that can assist throughout the entire process for wind power plants. Norconsult's services range from early planning to the operational phase, including mapping wind resources, measurements, area planning, permitting processes, environmental and impact assessments, project management, and operational services.
